Comments from Work placement students

Hello everybody,
My name is Rosanna, I’m an Italian student from Rome and I’m carrying out a work placement at Camino Barcelona for six months.
My time unfortunately will end in two months and I’m a bit sad, because it has been a fantastic experience for me. During these months, I have learned a lot and I’m involved in a wide range of office work, such as dealing with phone and e-mail enquiries, attending to students at reception, filing, arranging cultural activities, and other tasks associated with the running of the school. My working hours are approximately from 8am to 4pm on weekdays, so this really feels like a proper job!
Every day I have the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment with students from all over the world and I really like this day-to-day contact with people. At the same time, I work in a completely Spanish environment, so every day I can improve my knowledge of the Spanish language. I think I speak Spanish very well now and I feel confident in all kinds of conversation.
I’m really happy to have had this great experience in Barcelona and I think that it will be very important for my future job too.
I have met new friends, learned more about Spain and its culture and traditions and I’m really enjoying my time in Barcelona!!!
It is a pity that it has to end so early, because I’m getting on very well. I’d recommend this fantastic experience to anyone!
Thank you Camino!
Rosanna
