Below you will find the objectives, content, teaching materials and specification of evaluation for each level divided by week.
Level A1: You are able to understand and use everyday expressions of very frequent use as well as simple phrases designed to satisfy immediate needs;
you can present yourself and others, ask for and give basic personal information about your home, your belongings and the people you know
and you can relate in an elementary way, when your interlocutor speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to cooperate.
Duration: 4 weeks.
Level A2: You are able to understand phrases and expressions of frequent use related to areas of experience that are especially relevant to you
(basic information about yourself and your family, purchases, places of interest, occupations, etc.);
you know how to communicate in everyday situations that require nothing more than simple and direct exchanges of information on issues that are known or habitual
and you can describe in simple terms aspects of your past and your environment as well as questions related to your immediate needs.
Duration: 4 weeks.
Level B1: You are able to understand the main points of clear texts and in standard language if they deal with issues that are known to you, whether in work, study or leisure situations;
you know how to handle most of the situations that may arise during a trip through areas where the language is used;
you are able to produce simple and coherent texts on topics that are familiar to you or in which you have a personal interest and when you can describe experiences, events, desires and aspirations, as well as briefly justify your opinions or explain your plans.
Duration: 9 weeks.
Level B2: You are able to understand the main ideas of complex texts that deal with both concrete and abstract topics, even if they are of a technical nature as long as they are within your field of specialization;
you can interact with native speakers with a sufficient degree of fluency and naturalness so that communication is carried out effortlessly by any of the interlocutors and when you can produce clear and detailed texts on various topics as well as defend your point of view on general issues, indicating the pros and cons of the different options.
Duration: 10 weeks.
Level C1: You are able to understand a wide variety of extensive texts and with a certain level of demand, as well as to recognize in them implicit meanings;
you know how to express yourself in a fluid and spontaneous way without very obvious signs of effort to find the right expression;
you can make a flexible and effective use of the language for social, academic and professional purposes, write well-structured and detailed texts on topics of a certain complexity, showing a correct use of the mechanisms of organization, articulation and cohesion of the text.
Duration: 12 weeks.
